Master of Science in Nursing

The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program within the School of Nursing & Health Sciences at Colby-Sawyer is designed for the baccalaureate-prepared registered nurse and will prepare those who plan to practice in an advanced nursing role in the healthcare or academic setting.

It offers three tracks for registered nurses to advance their education and further their careers: Clinical Nurse Leader, Nursing Education, and Nursing Management and Executive Leadership.

Designed to accommodate working professional nurses in any location, courses are offered in an asynchronous, online format. Additionally, each student will have clinical requirements that can be completed in a healthcare setting convenient to them. Colby-Sawyer's MSN program is competitively priced both regionally and nationally at $600 per credit.

The baccalaureate and master's degree programs in nursing at Colby-Sawyer College are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

Clinical Nurse Leader

The Clinical Nurse Leader track prepares the graduate for practice across the continuum of care within any healthcare setting in order to address the critical need to improve the quality of patient care outcomes.

Nursing Education

The Nursing Education track is based on the National League for Nursing (NLN) Competencies for Nursing Education and the AACN Essentials of Master’s Education in Nursing. The nursing education track is designed to prepare the graduate for the nurse educator role in academic settings or healthcare organizations. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to sit for the CNE exam.
