The Master of Science in Exercise Science Program is selective. To be successful, applicants should have a baccalaureate degree (BS or BA) and have achieved a competitive grade point average with the completion of Anatomy and Physiology I and II.

Yes, Colby-Sawyer's graduate exercise science program accepts transfer students. Up to nine (9) graduate-level credits may be transferred from other programs after evaluation by the registrar.

A minimum grade of B- is required in all graduate courses. Graduate students may only repeat one course one time, if necessary. Academic policies regarding probation, suspension and dismissal are the same as for the undergraduate program.

Colby-Sawyer's Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences Program provides its students the opportunity to apply theory into practice through participation in the fellowship program. Students who participate in a fellowship will complete a one-year field experience while simultaneously completing their master’s degree, providing an opportunity to gain experience in a position aligned with their career aspirations, network with supervisors and other professionals in the career field, enhance their understanding of concepts learned in the classroom and gain a competitive advantage in the job market upon graduation. Fellowship opportunities are available for both strength & conditioning and applied exercise science concentrations.
