Professor Medbery joined the faculty in 2001. He holds a Ph.D. in exercise and sport science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; an M.S. in kinesiology with a sport psychology specialization from Purdue University; and a B.S. in psychology from Trinity College. He holds the following certifications: Association of Applied Sport Psychology Certified Sport Psychology Consultant, Instructor Level-ASEP Coaching Principles, and U.S. Soccer 'D' Level Coaching. His professional interests include psychology of sport and exercise, performance enhancement, coaching education and emotional development in sport. Read more
Kerstin Stoedefalke

Professor Stoedefalke joined the faculty in 1990. She holds a Ph.D. in medical sciences from the University of Exeter, UK; an M.S. in exercise science from the University of Montana; and a B.S. in biology from Pennsylvania State University. She holds certification as an ACSM Exercise Specialist. Her professional interests include pediatric exercise science, health promotion, sport nutrition and health and wellness. Read more
Kell da Costa

Kell da Costa joined the faculty in 2023 after four years as a postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Applied Brain and Cognitive Sciences at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. He holds a Ph.D. from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN-Brazil) in health sciences, an M.A. from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP-Brazil) in molecular biology and a B.S. from UNICAMP in physical education.
