DNP Faculty

Faculty in the School of Nursing & Health Sciences are Colby-Sawyer nursing professors and practicing clinicians. They make it a priority to guide, challenge and advise you while getting to know you as a student and colleague. They understand you are balancing your continuing education with professional and personal obligations, and they are there to support you throughout the process.

Ann Fournier PhD, MS, RN, AHN-BC, CNE, CCE

Joined the college as an assistant professor in 2019. She holds a PhD in nursing from Rutgers University, an MS in health care administration from New England College and an MSN with a specialty in acute care from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She also holds a BA in French/Spanish from Saint Anselm College. Dr. Fournier has over a decade of teaching experience and has taught many nursing courses in the classroom and clinical settings in a variety of programs at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Read more

Shari L. Goldberg PhD, RN

Joined the faculty in 2002. Teaches the senior nursing capstone courses, community and public health nursing, and the introduction to public health. Appointed to the State of N.H. Public Health Improvement Services Council. Participates in a national effort aimed at integrating public health into undergraduate liberal arts education. The 2009-2010 recipient of the policy research fellowship at George Mason University's Center for Health Policy Research and Ethics. Read more

Joined faculty in 2008. BSN from Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, Penn. in 1985, MSN with a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner certification from Georgetown University, Washington, DC in 1992; and DNP from Wilkes University in 2014. Professor Loftus teaches First Year Nursing Seminar, Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice, and Nursing Leadership. Read more

Kathleen tennent DNP, RN

Professor Tennent joined the faculty in 2024 after being adjunct faculty since 2010. She obtained her Diploma in Nursing in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada in 1992, earned her BSN from Ottawa University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 1997, earned her MPH in epidemiology from Boston University in 2002, earned her MSN from the University of New Hampshire in 2016 and graduated with a Doctor of Nursing (DNP) from the University of New Hampshire in 2023. Professor Tennent has 34 years of experience in pediatric critical care from the McGill Montreal Children’s Hospital, Montreal, Quebec, Canada and concurrently practices as a pediatric critical care nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Dartmouth Health.
