Each space includes customizable setups, full catering options, and on-site support to ensure your event is seamless and memorable.

Ware Student Center

Wheeler Hall

Wheeler Hall combines timeless elegance with exceptional flexibility. The ballroom accommodates up to 400 guests in a theater-style setup, while seated round-table events can comfortably host up to 250 guests, and cocktail receptions up to 300. The room's central stage offers a perfect focal point for ceremonies, speaker, or performances, and two adjoining wings can be opened for larger gatherings or curtained to create intimate dining or lounge areas. Whether you're planning a formal dinner, reception, or corporate event, Wheeler Hall can be transformed to match your vision.

Lower Dining-Hall

The Lower Dining-Hall is a flexible event space that can be customized to suit a variety of functions. With a capacity of 150-200 guests, it can easily be transformed for receptions, poster sessions, live music, or seated meals. The room's open layout allows for full reconfiguration, and tables and chairs can be cleared to create space for bands, bars, or displays, making it an ideal choice for both casual and creative gatherings.

Sawyer Center

The Curb

The Curb is a bright, open space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that offer beautiful views of the campus. Ideal for receptions, discussions, or social gatherings, the space accommodates up to 100 guests and can be arranged with seated rounds, catering stations, or a bar. The Curb connects directly to Sawyer Theater and Gordon Hall, allowing all three areas to be booked together for larger or multi-part events. Many clients choose to use the The Curb for catering and networking while hosting presentations or meetings in Gordon Hall.

Gordon Hall

Gordon Hall is a modern, versatile classroom that accommodates up to 85 guests. Designed for collaboration, the room features whiteboard along every hall, three wall-mounted TVs, and a main projector for seamless presentations. Flexible tables on wheels make it easy to reconfigure the layout for breakout sessions or group discussions. Catering setups, such as breakfast or coffee service, can also be arranged within the space. Gordon Hall pairs perfectly with The Curb for events that combine professional presentations with networking or dining.

Sawyer Theater

Sawyer Theater is a dynamic performance space ideal for stage productions, dance performances, award ceremonies, and large presentations. Spanning 5,200 square feet, the theater accommodates up to 600 guests in tiered seating, offering excellent sightlines and acoustics throughout. The venue is fully equipped with a dedicated sound booth, professional sound system, and projector to support a wide range of event needs. Whether hosting a performance or a special ceremony, Sawyer Theater provides a polished and versatile setting that brings every event to life.

Davidow Center for Art + Design

John and Heidi Niblack Black Box Theater

The Black Box Theater is an intimate 1,400-square-foot performance and presentation space designed for smaller productions, meetings, and special events. With tiered seating for up to 90 guests and flexible floor-level stage, that space offers close, engaging experience for audiences. The theater connects directly to the Davidow Lobby and Fine Art Gallery, which can also be reserved to expand the event area. Ideal for performances, lectures, or creative showcases, the Black Box Theater combines versatility with a professional atmosphere.

Davidow Lobby

The Davidow Lobby serves as a welcoming and adaptable space, perfect for catering setups, bar service, or small receptions. Accommodating up to 50 guests, its often paired with the Black Box Theater or Fine Art Gallery to create a seamless event flow between spaces. Whether used for intermissions, networking, or social gatherings, the Davidow Lobby provides an elegant and functional complement to any event.

William H. & Sonja Carlson Davidow '56 Fine Art Gallery

The Davidow Fine Art Gallery offers guests a unique cultural experience, featuring rotating exhibits that showcase the work of talented student artists. This intimate gallery space accommodates up to 25 guests and is often paired with the adjacent Davidow Lobby for receptions or bar service. Perfect for art receptions, private viewings, or small gatherings, the Davidow Fine Art Gallery allows external clients to enjoy the creative spirit of the campus in an inspiring setting.

The Lethbridge Lodge

Galligan's Pub

Reminiscent of a mountain lodge with its stone hearth and warm ambiance, The Pub offers a relaxed setting for gatherings of up to 70 guests. The space features a full bar, a new television with surround sound, and recently updated furniture that enhances comfort and style. A fireplace adds to the inviting atmosphere, while the adjacent outdoor patio provides additional seasonal seating, perfect for casual receptions or social events.

Curtis L. Ivey Science Center

Clements Hall

Clements Hall is a spacious lecture hall designed for presentations, conferences, and academic events. Accommodating up to 185 guests in comfortable stadium seating, the hall features built-in audiovisual capabilities, including microphones, speakers, and a camera for recording or live streaming. A dedicated sound booth manages all AV operations to ensure a seamless experience. With 1,800 square feet of space, Clements Hall provides a professional and fully equipped setting for lectures and large meetings.

Ivey Classroom 201

Ivey 201 accommodates up to 50 guests and offers a flexible classroom layout ideal for smaller meetings, workshops, or intimate events. The room features movable tables, desktop computers along the perimeter, a built-in projector, and an integrated sound system to support a range of presentations and event needs.

The SunShack

The SunShack is a one-of-a-kind, student-built sustainable classroom that seats up to 18 guests or hosts up to 40 for a reception-style event. Designed and constructed by Colby-Sawyer students using locally sourced and eco-friendly materials, this timber-frame structure embodies the college's commitment to environmental innovation. With its passive-solar design, natural light, and handcrafted character, the SunShack provides an inspiring and eco-conscious setting for meetings, workshops, and special gatherings.

Ivey Field

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kearsarge, Ivey Field captures the charm and serenity of a classic New England celebration. The level, expansive lawn comfortably hosts 600 or more guests for outdoor ceremonies, tented receptions, or large private gatherings. Its open, flexible design allows you to create a one-of-a-kind event, from elegant weddings to festive corporate or community celebrations in the fresh mountain air.

Susan Colgate Cleveland Library/Learning Center

- Cleveland Colby Colgate Archives: Located within the Susan Colgate Cleveland Library/Learning Center, the Cleveland Colby Colgate Archives offers a distinctive and historic setting for intimate events, presentations or meetings. With a capacity of 60 guests theater-style or 24 seated at tables, this space showcases Colby-Sawyer's rich history through its collection of rare books, artifacts, and manuscripts documenting the college's development and the lives of notable New Hampshire figures. The Archives' warm, scholarly atmosphere makes it an ideal venue for lectures, discussions, and special gatherings.

Dan and Kathleen Hogan Sports Center

- David L. Coffin Field House: The David L. Coffin Field House is a spacious and versatile venue ideal for large-scale events such as graduations, town meetings, and community gatherings. Featuring a maple wood floor, three-size basketball courts (including one competition court), and three volleyball courts, the facility offers ample flexibility for both athletic and non-athletic functions. The field house includes bleacher seating for up to 900 guests, with additional floor seating for 2,300 and features a suspended indoor jogging track that extends one-tenth of a mile around the perimeter.

Mercer Hall

- Mercer Gym: Mercer Gym offers a flexible, open space suitable for a wide range of events, from poster sessions and fair to banquets and community gatherings. The venue accommodates up to 400 guests in a poster session layout or 175 seated at round tables, providing a versatile settings that can easily be customized to meet your events needs.

Janet Udall Schaefer ’52 Center for Health Sciences

- Conference Room 109: Conference Room 109 offers a modern, state-of-the-art setting for small meetings, presentations, or workshops. The rooms features floor-to-ceiling windows, a large whiteboard, and a camera system that tracks movement and zooms for enhanced visibility. With seating for up to 20 guests, this space provides a bright, professional environment ideal for collaborative discussion and focused events.
