Emergency Alert System

Colby-Sawyer College uses the notification system CSC ALERT, which enables the college to send urgent messages to the college community through cell phones and e-mail accounts.

Students, faculty and staff must register for the service, which will enable Colby-Sawyer to send text messages to their cell phones with timely information about emergencies such as power outages, fires, crime watches, college closings and Homeland Security advisories. The system will also alert the college community to important information such as parking alerts. The CSC ALERT system will automatically send alerts to all Colby-Sawyer e-mail accounts.

Campus Safety and the Colby-Sawyer College administration strongly encourage all community members to register for CSC ALERT and to keep their account information up to date.

The new CSC ALERT system, powered by e2Campus, will provide instant alerts to registered cell phones via SMS text messages. College community members may also register to receive alerts via RSS feeds and wireless PDA, and on their My Yahoo, My AOL, or personalized iGoogle home pages.
