Addiction StudiesThe Bachelor of Arts in addiction studies provides students with the education, technology and clinical training necessary to support people and promote recovery. We use an interdisciplinary approach that recognizes the complexity of addiction. Courses in sociology, public health, biology and psychology facilitate best practices in prevention, assessment, intervention and treatment.
Students currently majoring in addiction studies will be able to continue in the program through completion; however, Colby-Sawyer is no longer accepting students into the major.
we encourage students interested in the field to explore our Psychology Major.
If you're looking for a broad understanding of psychology and the social and cultural experiences that shape behavior, consider concentrations in counseling and substance abuse, forensic psychology, child psychology and/or neuroscience. Check the college catalog for more information on the psychology major and its related concentrations and minors.
