Digital Media Minor

Graphicdesign-1850

Digital media is ubiquitous in today’s culture. Learn how to be a creator, not just a consumer. In this customizable minor, you can choose to develop your skills in creating, photographing and editing images; designing websites and mobile apps; mapping; and creating advertising, communication, marketing and social media plans. Being able to employ digital media is a versatile and multifaceted skill set that is relevant across fields and industries today, making it a worthwhile pairing with any major.

The core courses for the minor are Marketing Principles (BUS 231), Design & Digital Media Foundations (GD 125) and Advertising & Social Media (BUS 407). To complete the minor, students take two additional courses, chosen from Photography I (ART 260), Geographic Information Systems I (ENV 401), Web & Mobile Design (GD 328) and Sport Media & Communication (SM 212).
