Colby-Sawyer College has established formal transfer articulation agreements for its Master of Science in Exercise Science (MSES) program with New England College (NEC) and Central Michigan University (CMU), ensuring that the transition from bachelor’s level programs at those institutions to Colby-Sawyer’s graduate program will be seamless.
Starting in the 2024-25 academic year, graduates from New England College’s BA in kinesiology program and Central Michigan University’s BS in exercise science program who meet established admissions criteria will have automatic acceptance into the Colby-Sawyer College Master of Science in Exercise Science programs in either of its two tracks, strength and conditioning or applied exercise science. In addition to guaranteed admission to the program, they will receive discounted tuition for the Colby-Sawyer MSES program.
“We are excited to partner with New England College and Central Michigan University to provide their graduates preferred access to the Colby-Sawyer College Master of Science in Exercise Science program,” Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing Val Leclair said. “With two professional tracks and a program offered entirely online, the MSES program will enhance both clinical knowledge and professional opportunities for students.”
To be eligible for the transfer articulation program, NEC and CMU candidates must graduate from their programs with a minimum grade point average of 2.75 and complete program prerequisites, college-level Anatomy & Physiology I and II with lab, with a grade of C or higher.
The Colby-Sawyer Master of Science in Exercise Science prepares students for careers in healthcare, clinics, colleges and universities, professional sports or private settings where they work in areas like strength and conditioning, exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation and health and wellness. The program is offered entirely online with no scheduled meeting times, allowing students to customize their studies to fit their individual needs. It can be completed in nine months with full-time study, or students can opt to enroll part time.
