Schedule of Events

The Homecoming & Family Weekend Hospitality Center is in Thornton Living Room, Colgate Hall. Check in to receive your weekend packet containing activity information, any schedule changes and a complimentary gift. Everyone who checks in will be entered in a raffle to win a Colby-Sawyer cornhole set!

Parking is available in designated campus lots but strictly prohibited on campus roadways. Limited spaces at Kelsey Field will be available for those with disability parking permits or license plates. Van shuttle and golf cart transportation will be available for those who need assistance.

"Landscape in Transformation: Recent Work by Wendy Clough"  Davidow Center for Art + Design

This solo exhibition presents Colorado-based artist Wendy Clough's latest work consisting of paintings and textiles illustrating different imagined transformations of the natural world: reinvention, invasion, animation and restoration.

Grand Opening Celebration  Schaefer Center for Health Sciences

Join the campus community as we celebrate the grand opening of the Janet Udall Schaefer ’52 Center for Health Sciences, a state-of-the-art facility for academic and clinical training. The 20,500 square-foot facility, the official home of the School of Nursing & Health Sciences, features a simulation center, anatomy and physiology laboratories, conference and workspaces and a café for the entire campus community to enjoy.

Growing Food on Campus  Meet in front of the Ivey Science Center

The college’s permaculture garden and the established Main Street Garden provide students with knowledge and experience in food production. Additionally, the gardens educate students about providing healthy food, food insecurity, ecological connections and community resilience. Visit the college gardens with Professor Leon Malan and see how we grow food in a sustainable way.

The 2024 Election: History, Analysis and Tentative Predictions from a Nervous Political ScientistRoom 201, Ivey Science Center

The past few years have been humbling for political scientists. Political events continue to make a laughingstock of our predictions, zigging when we expect them to zag. Despite these hardships, Professor Eric Boyer will lead an expedition into the political thicket of the 2024 presidential election. He will bring historical context to the upcoming election, analyze the impact of potential outcomes and offer some tentative predictions of what November may bring. Bring your curiosity, questions and love of the unpredictable!

Ceramic WorkshopDeborah L. Coffin ‘76 Family Ceramics Studio in Memory of David Coffin Jr. ’75, Davidow Center for Art + Design 

Led by Professors Jon Keenan and Terita Heath-Wlaz this hands-on workshop will focus on current and age-old approaches to working in clay. Participants will focus on hand building techniques, including pinch, slab, coil, kurinuki and combined processes. This engaging workshop will include discussions and demonstrations and will encourage creativity and experimentation. Open to all levels. Preregistration is required.
