Commencement 2025
Frequently Asked Questions

Commencement is Saturday, May 10, at 10:30 a.m. on the Colby-Sawyer Quad. The tent will open at 8:30 a.m. 

Generally, 2-2.5 hours. 

We will mail diplomas to students who cannot take part in the ceremony. 

No. We do, though, ask graduates to limit the number of their guests to six so that all attendees may be accommodated inside the tent.

Bring a camera, if you’d like, and perhaps a bottle or two of water. Please be prepared for a variety of weather scenarios, from wind and rain to warm sunshine. And possibly all of the above on the same day. 

Yes. The link will go live at 10:30 a.m. May 10. We will post the link soon.  

Yes. Two photographers. They’ll take a photo of every graduate receiving their diploma. Several days after Commencement, you’ll be able to download free photographs from this website.  

Please do! We ask that family and friends who take photos of their grads keep the aisles clear.  

All lots will be open. Accessible parking is available in Shepard Lot. Here’s a campus map for reference.

Yes, the celebration continues immediately after Commencement in Pierce Park.

Yes, families of students in the Class of 2025 may eat dinner Friday night in Ware Dining Hall. Cost is per person and can be ordered online. Also, Lethbridge Lodge will be open 3-5 p.m.
