Ann Page Stecker retires from Colby-Sawyer after 40 years of steadfast dedication to both the college and its students. A prominent fixture of the college’s School of Arts & Sciences for decades, Ann Page taught courses in environmental literature, autobiography, British literature, New England history and women’s literature

Patrick Anderson leaves Colby-Sawyer after more than 40 years of dedicated service to the college and devotion to his students. As an integral component of the college’s School of Arts & Sciences, Patrick taught courses in American studies, American literature, Native American culture and American and international film, for which he was extremely passionate.

Through a decades-long commitment to Colby-Sawyer, Natalie Davis Rooke has helped shape the direction of the college and ensure its success well into the future

Laura Kontoules, a creative writing major and studio art minor from Salem, Mass., is as committed to the arts as she is to academic achievement. An Alpha Chi National Honor Society member who graduated in just three years, Laura used her time at Colby-Sawyer to explore her passions in art, writing, theater and music.

Professor Lynn Garrioch, Ph.D., joined Colby-Sawyer College in 2001. Though her graduate work in Applied Social Psychology from the University of Victoria informs her teaching and research in the areas of general psychology, social cognition and the social psychology of the law, it is her undergraduate experience at liberal arts institution Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, that most informs her teaching philosophy and practice

When Amy Lyon ’85 joined the faculty at Colby-Sawyer College in 2018, she landed her dream job by becoming a fulltime professor at her alma mater. Before returning to the college, Amy earned an M.A. from Dartmouth College and an Ed.D. from New England College and worked for 33 years in the public-school setting.
