“I became increasingly interested in photography’s ability to shape not only what is seen, but also what is felt,” said Maddy Murray '27. 

Lutz, who teaches environmental science and environmental studies courses, uses satellite imagery, computer models, machine learning and sensor networks to understand forest ecosystems and environmental change.
