Shepard Hall

Centrally located between Colgate Hall and the Schaefer Center for Health Sciences, Shepard Hall is a popular housing option. Residents of Shepard Hall enjoy being out and around on campus, as well as the comfort of the spacious rooms and shared common areas.

The ground floor rooms are mixed-gender, with single-stall bathrooms. The first floor houses male students, the second floor is mixed by room, and the third floor is all-female. This hall has a lounge on the first floor, and shared kitchen and laundry facilities on the ground floor.

Shepard Hall Floor Plan

Shepard Hall is staffed by two resident assistants and an area coordinator who lives in Burpee Hall.

The Shepards were one of the original families to settle in New London. James Ely Shepard was an active trustee during the early days of the Academy and his son, Charles E. Shepard, served as a trustee for 20 years. He also operated the stage coach service between New London and Potter Place.
