Abbey Hall

Abbey Hall is a relaxed, welcoming, and diverse community for students who identify as female. The spacious common area lounge offers a comfortable setting for group study or gathering with friends.

Abbey is our only all-female hall, housing upper year students. Kitchens are located on the ground and first floors, and the centrally located common lounge is equipped with TV, study space, and vending machines. Laundry facilities are located on the ground, first, and second floors. This hall is located next to the Ware Student Center, with close proximity to the Hogan Sports center.

Abbey Hall is staffed by two resident assistants and an area coordinator who lives in Best Hall.

Built in 1940, Abbey Hall is dedicated to the memory of Charles Clinton Abbey, husband of Mrs. Emily F. Abbey Gill, benefactress of colleges and secondary schools, especially those dedicated to the education of women.
