McKean Hall
By living in McKean Hall, residents have the opportunity to enhance their post-graduate academic experience with easy access to campus and community resources.
Features
McKean Hall is a smaller, traditional-style hall for graduate and professional studies students; each room is single occupancy, most with hardwood floors. The ground and first floors are gender-neutral, the second floor is all male, and the third floor is all female. There is a lounge on the first floor and laundry facilities and a common kitchen are located on the ground floor. McKean Hall sits on the Loop facing the Quad, with easy access to Colgate Hall.
Staffing
McKean Hall residents are supported by the area coordinator living in Best Hall.
History
McKean Hall, built in 1930, was named for Dr. Horace G. McKean, who was principal and headmaster of the school in the 1890’s, when it was a co-educational academy.
