How to schedule an appointment online
Course Tutoring
This peer tutorial service, available for most first- and second-year courses and select upper-level courses, can help students maximize their learning in particular classes. You can meet with peer tutors to improve your understanding of course concepts, to review for exams or to develop study strategies targeted for particular courses.
Writing
Peer and professional writing consultants assist students with the process of writing – from brainstorming to editing. You can meet with a writing consultant in the initial stages of writing to clarify thinking and/or plan an outline, or you can meet with a consultant later in the process to discuss ideas for revision. Writing sessions offer supportive, objective and helpful feedback on your writing, which will help you to improve the quality and focus of your writing.
Study Skills
Successful students know how to make the best use of their time and study efforts. You can make appointments with peer or professional tutors to discuss time management and organization strategies or to review effective approaches for note taking, reading and test preparation. These sessions focus on helping you to develop skills that are effective and appropriate to your particular learning style.
Group Learning Instruction
Group Learning Instructors are attached to specific sections of courses that have historically high tutoring needs. They closely follow the class and establish weekly study sessions. These sessions infuse study skills with the content of the course.
