Every student at Colby-Sawyer completes an internship in their field of study, gaining hands-on work experience while making valuable professional connections.

Colby-Sawyer blends the elements of a student's college life — academic, co-curricular, social and athletic — into a cohesive educational experience.

Through small, interactive classes, field experience opportunities and required Capstone projects, students at Colby-Sawyer work closely with faculty members as they pursue programs that blend professional preparation with the liberal arts.

Every undergraduate student at Colby-Sawyer earns a Liberal Education & Professionalization (LEAP) minor by completing the general education requirements of the college, signaling to employers, graduate directors and supervisors that they have the interdisciplinary, critical-thinking skills needed to succeed in today’s world.

Our students gain extraordinary access and opportunities in their first year, whether they want to join a leadership program, perform in a theatrical production or plan campus events.

Our alumni emerge as well-rounded, well-educated citizens, prepared to take on meaningful careers, pursue ongoing graduate study and make positive contributions to their communities.

Our graduates find meaningful employment. Over a five year period, 97% of our graduates were employed or attending graduate school within six months of Commencement, and 37% are offered a position by their internship site.
