Peace at Last

Before the invitation, feeling quite free,
Surrounded by family and friends,
Happy I should be.

Living life to the fullest, all has gone well.
Struggles now and then,
But nothing to tell.

The soul should be peaceful; the mind says why not?
For life has provided all that I’ve got.

Loneliness lingers, I don’t know why.
Perhaps there is more than meets the eye.

Unconditional love displayed on a cross,
Blood poured out,
A sense of loss.

Placed in the grave, every soul’s prison?
Days pass by, stone rolled away, no body to be found,
He is Risen!

Loves invitation, heart beating fast,
Accepting the gift,
Feel peace at last.
