Creativy is strong within me and through art I share thoughts and concepts with others in a visual way. Ideas stem from my imagination and I bring them forward to finished pieces of work. This process is essential to my well being. The act of inventing and creating something that did not exist before is extremely rewarding.

Art is a lifestyle and has taught me more than I can mention. It does not always follow the path of least resistance. Sometimes creative and original inspirations can be obscure and elusive. I have discovered that if I am not working at art the ideas become increasingly blocked. The process of building a sculpture leads to ideas for other sculptures. The same thing happens when I am painting, one idea leads to another. Not every piece I create ends up being exactly as I planned, for every piece that is successful there are many that are not. Although this can be discouraging, I try to learn from mistakes. I study the blunders and try to determine what I could have done differently to achieve a better outcome. Sometimes the simplest ideas turn out to be the best ones.
