Every artist works in different ways and produces pieces unique to their own style and methods. The oeuvres that I create are unlike the work of anyone else because it has my signature style on it. My main concentration is photography, and the style that I have developed is minimalist. My work tells a story through simplicity. Much of my photography is similar, even though it often has completely different subject matter. To break it down into two basic themes of my subject matter, I often photograph intriguing objects or people. When capturing images of these two different things, I frequently do it in an analogous manner, focusing on the subtle things that most people do not notice.
One of the projects that I have been working on recently is my triptych portraits. Each of the three photographs in the triptych is a unique feature about the model in the photograph. Some of these features might be an interesting piece of jewelry that they always have, a marking, something they usually wear, or just something that represents who they are or who I see them to be. Much like these portraits, my photographs of objects focus in on something that the viewer may not always notice, something that makes the object different than other things.
