Ceramics
The ceramics facility is equipped a variety of electric, gas, salt and Raku kilns where students explore innovative firing techniques to achieve aesthetic goals and creative ideas.
Drawing
The drawing concentration is the newest of the discipline specific areas study within our B.A. and B.F.A Studio Art degrees. In modern art drawing is a focus of art making in and of itself.
Graphic Design
In Graphic Design students gain proficiency with hand skills and computer technology and work intensively using both traditional and state-of-the-practice graphic computer methodologies.
Painting
Painting students investigate and explore painting materials and techniques while researching traditional and contemporary art and artists.
Photography
Students grow as artists expanding their knowledge of technical basics of cameras, lenses, film processing, digital imaging, printing techniques, development techniques, and specialized light-sensitive materials.
Printmaking
Printmaking students study printmaking areas: intaglio, stone lithography, relief, screenprinting, monotypes, collagraphy, chine-collé, multicolor printing, and papermaking.
Sculpture
Students are encouraged to work independently and to explore three-dimensional solutions to art making and create individually expressive works.
