The Department of Natural Sciences offers a major and minor in biology and a minor in chemistry through a wide variety of science courses. The department also supports liberal arts education and other academic programs with courses in mathematics, digital literacy, physics, earth science and environmental issues.

The Natural Sciences Department supports the entire college community by providing the laboratory courses required of each student, especially the Nursing and Exercise and Sport Sciences majors.

The Biology Program offers two options: a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Biology that can be combined with any major.

The Chemistry Program offers a minor in Chemistry that can be combined with any major.

The Mathematics Program at Colby-Sawyer College is designed to serve the needs of the larger academic community and plays an integral part in the college's efforts to ensure that students attain proficiency in quantitative literacy as an important element of their liberal education.
