Joined the faculty in 2002. Received A.B. from Bowdoin College, M.S. from Northeastern University and Ph.D. from University of Massachusetts – Lowell. Teaching interests include biochemistry, analytical chemistry and environmental chemistry. She is a pioneer in using the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) in college biochemistry courses, and is among a growing trend of professors nationwide to use the method in foundation chemistry classes. Research interests are in analyzing the interaction of organic pollutants with humic substances using spectrofluorometric techniques. | faculty profile

John Osambo joins the Natural Sciences Department with a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Egerton University in Njoro, Kenya and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from University of New Hampshire. His teaching experience includes adjunct positions at Colby-Sawyer, Plymouth State University and Worcester State University.
As a UNH research assistant, Professor Osambo synthesized monomers for preparation of polymer microspheres; synthesized and characterized molecular imprinted polymer microspheres (MIP) for analysis of caffeine, theophylline and glucose; and gained experience in analytical spectroscopic techniques. | faculty profile
