natural sciences work-study

The Natural Sciences Department is dependent on student help for a wide variety of functions. If you would like to work in a biology or chemistry laboratory, please consider working for us. Here's what you might be able to do:

  • Set up biology labs
  • Prepare solutions for biology or chemistry labs
  • Clean the labs
  • Perform general office work
  • Prepare computers for class and lab use (loading programs and such)
  • Design and set up new bulletin board displays
  • Help set up (and eat) refreshments for seminar programs
  • Conduct library research for professors
  • Take care of department plants
  • Inventory instruments, equipment, chemicals, etc.
  • Suggest projects you think will improve the department
  • and more

The Lake Sunapee Protective Association water lab also hires a student worker to assist with its water testing. Paperwork for this position is handled by the Natural Sciences Department.

If you are interested in helping, please contact Bonnie Lewis, laboratory coordinator, at 526-3486 or by e-mail.
