“Colby-Sawyer people are really nice to be around, and the professors are great. Some of the classes have really changed my life, and I didn't expect that.”
Marianne Lamas, Psychology major
Students may add and drop courses and make credit adjustments to variable credit courses until the end of the first full week of classes. All course adds and drops during the first week of classes (the "add/drop period") must be submitted online in PowerCAMPUS Self Service. The deadline for online submission of schedule changes is at 2:00pm on the date posted on the academic calendar.
Courses may be dropped without academic penalty until the ninth week of classes (see Academic Calendar). Courses dropped between the second and ninth weeks of classes will be indicated by a W (withdrawn) on the transcript. Students must complete an electronic Course Withdrawal form found in myRegistrar (via myColby-Sawyer). A course dropped after this period, whether student- or professor-initiated, will be assigned a grade of F.
A professor who wishes to recommend that a student drop a course must provide written notification to the academic dean, the registrar, the advisor, and the student.
