Colby-Sawyer College announces its search for a DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL AID. This position offers the extraordinary opportunity to direct and manage the college's comprehensive financial aid program. The Director of Financial Aid reports to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and works closely with offices across the college.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee the financial aid budget and work closely with Student Financial Services to steward, leverage and administer student financial aid;
  • serve as an educational resource to prospective and returning students and families;
  • administer and utilize PowerFAIDS and PowerCampus operating systems; and
  • assist the Admissions Office in the promotion of the financial aid process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree desirable.
  • Three to five years of financial aid experience with responsibilities similar to those described above, preferably in higher education.
  • Thorough knowledge of government rules and regulations concerning financial aid.
  • Able to prioritize and complete multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Superior communication skills required to effectively deliver sensitive, complicated and confidential information.
  • Able to travel and work during evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Experience in managing an office of financial aid. Must have own car and valid drivers' license.
