Welcome Parents & Families

At Colby-Sawyer College we recognize the important role that parents and family members play in our students' daily lives. We view our relationship with you as an important partnership in which we share the same goal: your student's success.

As Parent and Community Partnerships Coordinator, I am dedicated to being a resource for parents and family members of current and prospective students. I will be the point of contact for parents and families and can connect you to people at the College who can help with different situations or questions that may arise. In addition, I can give you tools and ideas for contributing to your student's success and to keep you informed about what is happening at Colby-Sawyer through our newsletter and other email updates.

Please use the Parent and Community Partnerships Office as your Colby-Sawyer resource – call, email, or stop by the office on the second floor of the Ware Student Center when you visit campus.

Winter Break Information

It's hard to believe the end of the Fall Semester is right around the corner. Here is some information that might be helpful to you as you plan for your student to return home for the winter break.

  • Winter Break begins at the end of Final Exams on Friday December 19th, 2014. Classes begin for Spring 2015 Semester on Tuesday January 20th, 2015. Students may return to campus on Monday January 19th.

  • You can view the Fall 2014 Final Exam Schedule here. You should talk to your student about their professors' exam expectations. Some professors will have regular exams during this time, while others may just have final projects or papers that need to be turned in.

  • Students must vacate their residence hall by 7pm on Friday December 19th or within 24 hours of their last exam, whichever comes first. (Students may stay until 10 a.m. on Saturday December 20th to accommodate certain travel plans, but must complete a temporary housing contract with Residential Education in advance)

  • All college offices, with the exception of Campus Safety, will be closed starting December 20th and will reopen on Monday January 5th.
