Application Requirements
All applicants must:
Submit an application form.
An interview with the course director or didactic instructor.
Apply for a temporary nursing license from the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. (New Hampshire Online Licensing) Applicants must have a temporary New Hampshire RN license before beginning the program. A temporary license is issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing after acceptance into the course. The temporary license is good for 120 days, only in New Hampshire, and only allows for practice under the supervision of the Board-approved reentry course instructor.
Maintain professional liability insurance and provide documentation of liability insurance coverage in the form of a current Certificate of Insurance.
Have access to a computer and comfort with navigating electronic documents and computer processes.
Provide documentation of a current physical examination indicating that (s)he can safely perform in the clinical setting, with proof of immunizations, including influenza and PPD.
Provide documentation of current cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. Certification must include adult/child/infant CPR and obstructed airway, 2-person CPR and use of mask-to-mouth. Acceptable courses include:
American Heart Association course for Healthcare Providers
American Red Cross course for the Professional Rescuer
Some courses certify for two years (preferred) and some for one year. Both sides of signed certification card must be submitted
Tuition
$2,000 for the classroom and clinical learning experiences. This includes all learning materials such as course outlines, bibliography, case studies, study guides. This does not include temporary licensure costs, malpractice insurance, or securing the necessary health and safety requirements such as immunizations or testing procedures.
Registration
Class size is limited to a minimum of six and a maximum of eight in order to assure a quality educational experience. As part of the registration process, an application is to be completed and an interview with the course director is required.
Acceptance into the course is made after completion of the application and interview. The application is to be completed prior to the interview. Interviews must be scheduled and completed by April 15, 2013. Applicants will not be accepted without an interview and the assurance of the ability to secure a temporary New Hampshire license.
Course Materials
In lieu of a textbook, there will be articles from current nursing journals provided to each student in electronic format.
