Clinical Times & Dates:

June 15 – July 2, 2015
4 days/week at New London Hospital, New London, N.H.
Specific days and times to be determined.

Registration for Nursing Update 2015 is now closed. Registration for Nursing Update 2016 will be open and available after January 1, 2016.

Course Overview…

The Nursing Process serves as the framework for learning in the classroom and clinical practice. The course content is focused on the care of the adult medical-surgical patient in an acute care setting.

Course Objectives…

Upon completion of this course, the registered nurse is expected to have the ability to demonstrate knowledge of selected medical-surgical conditions and current diagnostic, treatment and management measures.


Class size is limited to a minimum of six and a maximum of eight in order to assure a quality educational experience. As part of the registration process, an application is to be completed.


Course Director, Susan Reeves, EdD, RN, is The Gladys A. Burrows Distinguished Professor of Nursing, Chair of the Department of Nursing and Public Health at Colby-Sawyer College, and Vice President of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
