Colby-Sawyer College to Celebrate Student Scholarship in 2012 Susan Colby Colgate Scholars Symposium
NEW LONDON, N.H., April 12, 2012 – The Colby-Sawyer College community will celebrate students' commitment to scholarship with the annual Susan Colby Colgate Scholars Symposium. The annual symposium, which features interdisciplinary Capstone projects and undergraduate presentations will be held on Tuesday, April 17, starting at 8:30 a.m. at various locations on campus.
2012 Susan Colby Colgate Scholars Symposium Schedule
The symposium showcases senior students' culminating research projects in their majors, known as Capstone, in academic areas including: communication studies; exercise and sport sciences; history, society and culture; nursing; environmental studies; fine and performing arts; biology; business administration; English; child development and education; health studies and psychology and in the Wesson Honors Program.
Undergraduate students' presentations in nursing and exercise and sport sciences will also be featured at the event. These presentations, given by individuals and groups, allow students to demonstrate the depth and breadth of knowledge they have acquired during their years of study at Colby-Sawyer both in their academic major and across other disciplines.
