My Colby-Sawyer Experience

“This work is my ministry,” she says, “and I've been placed on our Earth for this reason. Helping the poor is one of the areas that gives my life great meaning.”

A Secret Outside the Window

A translucent vine wrapped around my waist
Tied over my stomach
A link between thought
Time
Memory
The clasp holding together
The photographs we took

My heart sings
“Push aside the blinds!”
And grant yourself sight
Look inwards to the face you grew up with
And push upwards with a key
Only you can hold
Rediscover a translucent self
Pieced together by fallen cognition

A reflective twine will entangle itself
Among cluttered thoughts
Providing insight to the things
You hold unconsciously
