antivirus software requirement
Students that connect their own computers to the campus network (wired or wireless) must maintain up-to-date antivirus software. The computer registration process will not allow internet access without a valid and updated antivirus package.
The college does not require any specific antivirus product. There are many antivirus products on the market to choose from, Norton, ESET, McAfee, TrendMicro, etc. New computers typically come with trial versions of one of these. Be sure to run through the initial setup if your new computer is so furnished, and remember that these trial versions will need to be either purchased when the trial expires, or replaced by another security product.
