Macintosh Information

Macintosh computers are able to connect to internet and email, and Mac OS X is usually able to access network shares like your P: drive. Mac OS X 10.4 and later are able to browse the campus network.

Connecting to the P: drive

Select and copy the following line of text:

smb://172.20.2.81/username

In the Finder, under the Go menu, click Connect to Server. Paste the text into the Address box and replace "username" with your own user ID. Click OK and you should see a logon window with three fields. Put your College user ID, colbys for the workgroup (or domain) and your password (case sensitive). Your P: drive folder should now be visible on your desktop.

Connecting to the X: drive (Courseware and other shares)

Select and copy the following line of text:

smb://172.20.2.81/courseware

In the Finder, under the Go menu, click Connect to Server. Paste the text into the Address box. Click OK and you should see a logon window with three fields. Put your College user ID, colbys for the workgroup (or domain) and your password (case sensitive). The X: drive share folder should now be visible on your desktop.
