“I had an enjoyable, positive and educational internship at New London Hospital. I loved the people I worked with, and my assignments were interesting and challenging.”

Protect your Computer from Infections
Protecting your PC from viruses and other infections is paramount. Just like regular oil changes on your car or replacing tires when they are worn, periodic and regular maintence of your system will decrease the chance of infections. The two most important components of regular maintenance are system updates and running an up-to-date anti virus program.
Remember to check the Windows Update site regularly to keep your operating system "patched". The point is to close any known "holes" or vulnerabilities in Windows. Or visit the college's Windows update web pages which show you how to keep your Windows system up-to-date.
We recommend updating your virus defintions at least weekly. If you use a version of Symantec Anti-virus software click on the Live Update button and follow the wizard to install the new defintions. The college provides all students with Symantec AntiVirus Corprate Edition, so if you are lacking anti-virus software you can find instructions for installation here on the college website.
