Technology Policies
In order to provide a clear set of guidelines for appropriate use of an ever changing set of technological tools, the following policy guidelines have been posted. This policy statement will be updated periodically as required.

Required Hardware and Software
While many college students bring computers to the campus, Colby-Sawyer College does not require that students own their own computers. Neither can we provide support for the various brands and configurations owned by students. We will whenever possible, provide contact information for an appropriate vendor or service provider. Please refer to the recommended hardware configuration section.
We will make certain resources available and endeavor to assist the Campus Community in the use of these resources. Please refer to the Specific Resource List.
Email and Internet
Colby-Sawyer College provides email accounts for all students, faculty and staff.
Student Email Policy

High speed Internet access is available from on campus.
For students who do not have computers of their own, public access computers are available in several computer labs and library locations.
User Accounts
Each student is provided a unique user account for logging into the campus local area network while at school. Various network resources will be available based on this unique user account information.
User account and password security is the responsibility of each user.
User file storage and space for course related web content will be made available. At present remote access to internal campus resources is intentionally limited.
