Leaves: Five leaflets with the lower two at the base of the leaf stalk, appear like large stipules. Three leaflets are cloverlike.
Flower: Bright-yellow showy pea-like flowers that grow in small umbels at the ends of the branches. Grow in clusters of 3 to 6.
Form/habitat: A slender pod suggests a bird's foot. Erect or prostrate, this flower can grow 6-24 inches in height. This low cloverlike plant is found in fields, roadsides and waste places.
