My Colby-Sawyer Experience

“Your work... is to resist the easy answer, to seek out the truth... just as the author's work is to face the blank page with faith and optimism.”
Humanities Instructor David Elliott

This is the index for the gymnosperms. Gymnosperms are trees and shrubs with needles or scales rather than leaves. Not all of these grow naturally in our area, but since some are so commonly planted, they have been included. The index shows you both the common name and the scientific name. They are alphabetized by family name.
A click on the common name will take you to the plant's individual page where you will find pictures as well as descriptive information.
