Abstract Submission Instructions

  • Abstracts should be documents prepared exclusively in Microsoft Word (*.doc).
  • The title of the paper should be in bold and all capital letters.
  • List authors, beginning with the last name of the first author. The full name of the first author should be given, but subsequent authors should be listed only by their first and middle initials followed by their last name. Indicate the presenting author with an asterisk (*; not superscript)

    This is the abstract for my presentation.  The abstract is single-spaced and the text totals 225 words, which is less than the limit of 275 words.  I have used Times New Roman or Symbol (e.g., µ) font (size 12), but no others.  I have not used Equation Editor or similar add-ins to create equations or other graphics in the abstract. I have formatted this entire document (a Microsoft Word document) according to the specified guidelines.  

  • Save your attached file as: ENEBC Abstract_your name.doc (e.g, ENEBC Abstract_EricaPolleys.doc)
  • Abstracts are limited to 275 words. All text in the document should be 12 point in size and Times New Roman or Symbol fonts and single spaced. Text can include only superscripts, subscripts, symbols, and italicized terms (no bold or underline). DO NOT include images or equations produced by Microsoft Equation Editor or similar programs. Document margins should be one inch on all sides. Any documents that do not conform to the guidelines will be returned.

  • The abstract deadline for both oral and poster presentations is March 20, 2008
