Colby-Sawyer College is committed to being an inclusive and diverse campus community which celebrates multiple perspectives. We recognize that diversity extends beyond recruitment and must include programs and active engagement in a dialogue that aims at understanding one another, is underscored by respect, and reaches into all corners of our campus community.

Diversity at Colby-Sawyer is recognized as the many communities of identity in our society, including gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, physical and mental disability, socio-economic class, culture, and gender identity.

Progressive Scholars…

The Progressive Scholars Program was developed in 2008 to bring more geographic, racial and ethnic diversity to the college by forming partnerships with urban high schools where talented student leaders could be recruited for a special scholarship to attend Colby-Sawyer.

There are a variety of clubs and organizations at Colby-Sawyer that support and engage the diversity of our students.

Diversity Awareness…

The Office of Citizenship Education provides information and facilitates programs on a variety of cultural and diversity topics.

Our LGBT Community…

International Programs…

Colby-Sawyer is linked to the world through study-away programs, its international student population, and clubs and organizations that explore and celebrate diverse cultures.

Disability Resources…

Qualified students with disabilities are provided with equal access to participate in and benefit from the opportunities available at the college.
