Bananas! More We Do Need

Students on Colby-Sawyer's small campus have an unusually close relationship with every member of the college community, including the people who prepare their food. Below are a few recent exchanges between Colby-Sawyer dining hall regulars and their friends, Chef Rich and Mama T.

Kitchen

Reply: Thanks, Yoda. Rich D.

Comment: Can you please not cook the veggies so much. They are mushy.
Reply: Thanks for the feedback. If you would, be more specific for days that weren't great. Also, if you want some that meal ask one of the cooks and they will get them. Chef Rich.

Comment: 1) I love the bigger ketchup!! 2) I loved the meatloaf and corn chowder. 3) Could we get some coffee ice cream? John.
Reply: Thanks, John. There is one bigger ketchup I was trying to get. I will keep trying. Coffee ice cream coming this week. Rich D.

Reply: Roca-tini. Ask Eric for the recipe. He will share. Chef Rich.

Comment: Could we have some brothy chicken soup? Pretty please no tomatoes with celery carrots and rice? The creamy soups aren't so good for you when you have a cold? They coat the throat and leave an icky feeling. :-( Alicia.
Reply: No more icky poo, Alicia. Sorry. Rich D.

Steam Table

Comment: There was too much something in the soup on the 6th, perhaps too much poultry seasoning. Not sure but it was over powering. But the steak and cheese sandwiches are amazing, especially with BBQ sauce. Thanks, Charlie.
Reply: Sorry, Charlie, but thanks for the feedback both ways, good + not so good. RD.

Comments: A) More Splenda please. B) What was with the cinnamon raisin bagel pizza on 9/18/06?
Reply: How much more Splenda? You will find the Splenda in the coffee section between the 2% milk and la coffee shuttles. Mama T
B) OOP's, our bad. Thought they were black olives (ha-ha-ha). Really was a mistake that will not happen again. Mama T
