Virtual Herbarium

Natural Sciences Professor Laura Alexander's Virtual Herbarium is a hit with local botanists because it focuses on what actually grows in the fields and woods of the New London, N.H., area. Her crisp descriptions and beautiful, vivid photos make it easy to match up what you see each season with its scientific and popular name. Professor Alexander believes you should know about the life in the place that you live and, if you live near New London, these plants are a great place to start.
