CSC hosts Ablaze conference

This coming Saturday, March 29th, Colby-Sawyer is hosting the Crossroads Christian Fellowship Ablaze Conference 2014! The event runs from 10am to 5pm in wheeler hall with live performances throughout the day and speech’s from Allie Wong, Bryn Gillette, and Beth Kidd.

Allie Wong, Navigators Staff at University of Vermont. In addition to developing and discipline college students, she lives in an intentional community which seeks to build relationships in and among the city’s under-resourced and refugee populations.

Bryn Gillette, Painter, Art, Photography and Bible teacher at Trinity-Pawling School in NY. He is the co-founder of TeamOne:27, a non-profit dedicated to serving the needs of Haitian orphans, and spends the majority of his artistic time as an advocate and champion of the needs of his Haitian “family”.

Beth Kidd, Executive Director at Place of Promise, Lowell, MA. Beth is a registered nurse who founded the Place of Promise, a Christian non-profit organization that has a residential program to help those who are hurting, lost, and broken to choose and find Life.

This is a one-day conference to unite and strengthen the ‘rising generation’ on campus and the surrounding community. Will you arise? Lunch is provided so stop by grab a bite to eat and take a second for prayer and worship. Any questions, contact Serena Chua at serena.chua@my.colby-sawyer.edu.

Even if you can make the event, the Crossroads Christian Fellowship is still offered as club activity on campus each week for teaching, prayer, worship, and fellowship. They also are involved with local churches and attending conferences, concerts, speakers, and other events off campus such as community service.
