Parking and Access
The Commencement Committee requests the cooperation of operators and owners of motor vehicles in observing the following regulations during Commencement Weekend, Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10, 2014. The modifications to our existing parking policies are designed to safeguard pedestrians on our campus and members marching in the Commencement Ceremony while providing parking for students and their guests, faculty and staff.
On Saturday safety officers and assistants will be at campus entrances to direct guests to designated parking areas. Starting at 10:30 am on Saturday, Main Street will be closed to through traffic and vehicles will be detoured until Commencement exercises have concluded.
All parking lots are open to the public except for the following:
Quad roadways will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning 3 p.m. on Friday through the completion of the ceremony on Saturday.
Both Shepard lot (E) and the Loop roadway (A) are closed to overnight parking beginning at midnight on Friday.
All faculty and staff arriving for activities or work on Friday evening and Saturday are asked to park on Main Street.
Students on campus for Commencement exercises should park in their assigned lots. There is no overnight or weekend student parking permitted in Faculty and Staff parking areas as they are being reserved for visitors.
