My Colby-Sawyer Experience

“My group's Capstone was certainly a culmination of our learning experiences. We were able to apply what we'd learned from our classes, internships, and practical experience hours and tackle a problem on our own.”

answers to returning students' questions

Welcome back to our campus community! In preparation for your return, you will want to keep in mind the following important information.

  • Arrive on campus between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for check-in. Resident students should park near their residence halls. Check in at Wheeler Hall, Ware Campus Center.

  • At check-in you will receive the following: new college id card, financial clearance card, room keys and final fall course schedule.

  • In case you must arrive early, consult your Family Weekend flier for a list of local hotels/inns. Our summer conference schedule makes it impossible to accommodate students early.

  • If you know you can't be here for check-in, you should contact the registrar's office at registrar@colby-sawyer.edu or (603) 526-3673, and indicate when you expect to arrive. Late arrivals on Sunday must see Campus Safety. Thereafter, late arrivals need to check in at the registrar's office during business hours.

  • It's very important for us to know who is here and who is not. If you don't check in we'll have to assume that you are not attending CSC this fall, and we will withdraw you. We will drop you from classes, deactivate your meal card, and notify all campus offices that you are no longer a student. You'll then need to spend a lot of time trying to reverse the withdrawal, and there's no guarantee that you'll be able to get back into the same classes.

  • Storage space is limited, and students will not be able to store any furniture (couches, futons, mattresses, chairs, bookcases, etc.) on campus during the summer. Please bring only furniture with you that you will be able to take home with you at the end of the year.

  • To register your vehicle to park on campus, please log on to PermitStore.com or call 1 (805) 963-9400 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific Time.

  • The College is no longer providing Long Distance Telephone service through the PAC numbers. Calling cards and 1-800 numbers will be accessible from your room phone.

  • Halls close for Thanksgiving at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, and re-open at 9 a.m. on Sunday, November 26. Please make your travel plans now. No campus housing is available during this break. Classes resume on Monday, November 27.

  • Halls close for first semester at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 21 at, and re-open for second semester at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 21.

If you have any housing questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact the Residential Education Office at (603) 526-3755 or by email at residential@colby-sawyer.edu.
