She credits her decision to pursue a doctorate to the encouraging influence of several Colby-Sawyer faculty. “Colby-Sawyer gave me a great springboard.”

Substance-free, small and fun - that's McKean Hall. The lounge features a ping pong table and there's usually a sports game on TV. There is always a buzz of activity in the air, and the size of the hall encourages a close community.
McKean houses new and returning residents and has been a substance-free living environment since 1995. The first and third floors of McKean house women while the second floor is all men. The ground floor is co-ed by room and holds the kitchen and laundry facilities.
This hall is staffed by two Resident Assistants. The Resident Director lives in Rooke Hall. View the McKean Hall Commitment Contract
McKean Hall is named for Dr. Horace G. McKean, principal and headmaster of the Academy from 1899-1905.
