My Colby-Sawyer Experience

“Colby-Sawyer people are really nice to be around, and the professors are great. Some of the classes have really changed my life, and I didn't expect that.”
Marianne Lamas, Psychology major

a mesage from the dean of students

In addition to good information, this site should give you a good feeling for what it's like to learn among friends at Colby-Sawyer College.

As your dean, I care very much about the personal and ethical choices you make, as well as the quality and effectiveness of your interactions with roommates and other friends on campus. Don't miss the richness that comes with new and renewed friendships.

You have many opportunities to lead and serve at Colby-Sawyer, and I encourage you to be actively involved. Through campus involvement you will be challenged to think creatively and critically, you will learn to understand and employ multiple perspectives, and you will be able to use your intellectual and interpersonal skills.

We can learn a lot from each other by communicating effectively and having fun together, and I'm looking forward to collaborating with you to make this unique residential college even stronger.

Please don't hesitate to drop me a line at any time. I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

David A. Sauerwein
