Commuter Club Purpose
The purpose of this club is to provide a welcoming community to the Colby- Sawyer College commuter population and to assist commuter students in addressing their particular needs and concerns. The club's primary goal is to act as a social outlet for commuters, who otherwise might be separated or isolated from many campus events. The Commuter Club is working toward its goal by:
- Facilitating commuters and residents getting together to have fun and to address any issues of importance to the commuter population.
- Providing support focused on helping other students identify and meet their needs, foster active learning opportunities that catalyze the academic experience (i.e.: group study outside of campus).
- Creating a sense of civic responsibility, leadership, teamwork communication and cultural, ethical, moral, spiritual and social growth.
- Supporting the academic endeavors of commuter students by encouraging them to make a commitment to lifelong growth and actively participate in the college, local and global communities to make the most of their Colby-Sawyer experience.
