My Colby-Sawyer Experience

“We are used to working with sick patients in the hospital setting, so it was nice to see the other end of the spectrum and be able to raise awareness among the students.”
Sandra Guglielmi, Nursing major

Commuter Club Purpose

The purpose of this club is to provide a welcoming community to the Colby- Sawyer College commuter population and to assist commuter students in addressing their particular needs and concerns. The club's primary goal is to act as a social outlet for commuters, who otherwise might be separated or isolated from many campus events. The Commuter Club is working toward its goal by:

  1. Facilitating commuters and residents getting together to have fun and to address any issues of importance to the commuter population.
  2. Providing support focused on helping other students identify and meet their needs, foster active learning opportunities that catalyze the academic experience (i.e.: group study outside of campus).
  3. Creating a sense of civic responsibility, leadership, teamwork communication and cultural, ethical, moral, spiritual and social growth.
  4. Supporting the academic endeavors of commuter students by encouraging them to make a commitment to lifelong growth and actively participate in the college, local and global communities to make the most of their Colby-Sawyer experience.
