My Colby-Sawyer Experience

“My internship experience proved that it's important to keep your eyes open, as you never know what slight connection is going to get you the experience you are looking for.”
Sam Moore '09, Graphic Design major

The Harrington Center is your resource for Academic Advising, Career Development, and Internships. We are located in the Susan Colgate Cleveland Library Learning Center. Our office hours are 8:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with walk-in hours available from 1:00 to 4:00p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The services provided by the Harrington Center align with the college's strategic themes: Engaged Learning, Living Sustainably, Linking to the World and Dynamic Devotion to Excellence. Our programs and services engage students in self-understanding and skill development related to academic and career choices, they link students to the world through internships and demonstrate excellence through the success of our graduates.

Over a five year period 97% of our graduates are employed or attending graduate school within six months after commencement. Of those students 84% are working in positions related to their majors. One reason for our graduates' success is the internship program and the requirement that students complete at least one internship or field experience in order to graduate. In a five year average 37% of Colby-Sawyer graduates are hired by their internship sites. Go to our Five-Year Comparison Report of Graduate Data for more information.
