My Colby-Sawyer Experience

“I'm a firm believer in getting students out of the classroom and into experiences in nature. If students get out of their element, in a new place that stimulates their senses, that's where the best learning happens.”
Natural Sciences Assistant Professor Nick Baer

Community Service

  • Build base of volunteers to assist with short and long-term projects.
  • Contribute to the quality and progress of local non-profit organizations and social services.
  • Develop leadership, self-knowledge and tolerance both on campus and in the larger community.
  • Sponsor community service projects.
  • Cultivate awareness of issues specific to the Sunapee/Upper Valley region as well as regional, national and world issues.
